Renowned American dentist Dr John Kois will conduct a lecture entitled, “Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning: Diagnostically Driven“ at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore on August 7, 2010.
This event is specially organised by the Aesthetic Dentistry Society Singapore (ADSS) in conjunction with the 10th anniversary celebrations of the association.
Lecture synopsis The fundamental rationale for a comprehensive treatment approach is a long-term strategy for dental health commensurate with an enhanced level of wellness for patients.
Understanding parameters of disease expression is sometimes confused with parameters of patient adaptation. Formulating the appropriate treatment plan and sequence then becomes a unique challenge.
This process can be simplified if we provide a diagnostically driven approach rather than merely a menu of treatment options. This presentation will focus on a unique “10 Step Process” that will guide the dentist through the key elements required to achieve predictable longevity, case acceptance and patient satisfaction.
From the lecture participants will learn: * A systematic approach for treatment planning every patient in their practice * To focus on the four most important diagnostic categories * To develop critical risk parameters to minimise failures and maximise successful results * Protocols to implement treatment planning strategies
Dr John Kois received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine and Certificate in Periodontal Prosthodontics with a M.S.D. degree from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry, USA.
He currently maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Tacoma and Seattle and is an Affiliate Professor in the Graduate Restorative Program at the University of Washington.
